Action Determines the Outcome
Many people often ask me, "How do you find the funds to organize such well-managed meetings?" Some even tell me, "We don't have anyone to support us the way you do."
Today, I would like to answer that question by sharing a part of our journey of faith.
When we began our missionary ministry in Bihar, God placed a burden on our hearts to teach His Word to people. We prayed earnestly, asking Him to show us how to fulfill that calling. As we waited on the Lord, one truth became clear: only God's Word has the power to transform lives.
With that conviction, we stepped out in faith. In 2012, we organized our very first Vacation Bible School (VBS) for 200 children. Financially, it seemed impossible, but we trusted God, and He helped us complete it successfully.
After ministering to children, God burdened our hearts for the youth. We wanted to organize a two-day youth conference in Begusarai. But there was a problem—we had no money, no sponsors, and no one to encourage us. Still, we held on to one promise in our hearts:"If God gives the vision, He will surely provide the provision."We prayed faithfully and shared the need with others, hoping someone would partner with us. Weeks passed, but no support came. Organizing a youth conference required a good venue, Bible teachers, food, and many other arrangements. Humanly speaking, it was beyond our ability.
Finally, we realized that if this burden truly came from God, then we had to take the first step of faith ourselves. The only option we had was to use our own resources. But we had no savings. At that time, my wife was teaching in a school. She requested an advance on her salary and received ₹10,000. That amount became the seed we sowed by faith into God's work.By God's grace, we successfully organized a beautiful two-day youth conference for 70 young people in Begusarai. We expected support from local pastors, but none came forward. Yet we were not discouraged. Year after year, we continued organizing youth conferences in different churches using our own family's resources, trusting God to supply our needs.
Later, God opened another door. We organized a family seminar in Gaya district for 40 families—again without financial help from the local church. Since then, God has enabled us to conduct many conferences and training programs across Bihar, Nepal, and Odisha. Many times we looked for support from people but found none. Instead, God used those moments to strengthen our faith. We learned that our confidence must never rest in people but in the Lord alone.Supporting these ministries was never easy for our family. We lived with limited resources, yet God always gave us enough to continue. Looking back today, I can clearly see that God never failed us.
I often reminded my wife,"If God gives the vision, He will always provide the provision."
We simply remained faithful to do our part, and God faithfully did His.Today, people see well-organized conferences, training programs, and seminars. What they often don't see are the small sacrifices, the prayers, the borrowed money, and the countless steps of faith that were sown years ago.
The harvest we are seeing today is the result of the seeds we planted when no one else believed in the vision.God has now brought wonderful partners into our ministry—people who trust us and joyfully invest in God's Kingdom. We praise Him for every one of them.
This journey has taught me one simple but powerful truth:
Actions determine the outcome.Faith is not merely believing that God can do something. Faith also means taking the first step when God calls, even when the resources are not yet visible.
As Galatians 6:7 reminds us:"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows."The seeds we sow today—in faith, sacrifice, prayer, and obedience—will produce a harvest in God's perfect time.May this encourage you to keep sowing faithfully, even when the results are not immediate. God never forgets a seed that is planted for His glory.
May God be glorified in all that we do.May God bless you abundantly.
Blessed Sagar
