God’s Provision
“He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed,
miracles that cannot be counted.” Job
5:9
In 2016, our ministry took a humble step of faith. We purchased a small plot of land with the vision of building a modest shed to run a tuition centre for local children. At the time, we had no concrete plans to start a full school—we simply wanted to serve the kids in our community and share God’s love with them. After waiting on the Lord for many months, a brother from Andhra Pradesh reached out to ask about our ministry. When we shared our need for a small shed, God moved his heart, and a few days later, he sent a financial contribution. Encouraged by this, we began construction. Soon, a few other friends promised to stand with us financially. Trusting that the Lord was opening doors to expand our work, we decided to step out in faith and build a stronger structure with bricks instead of bamboo.
The Trial
of Faith and Standing in the Gap
We completed the building in 10 days, but as the work finished, we faced a sudden crisis. The total cost had far exceeded our expectations, leaving me with a heavy debt of Rs. 42,000. To make matters worse, everyone who had previously promised to help backed out. For my wife and me, living on very limited resources in the mission field, this was an overwhelming mountain. I had never owed such a large sum of money in my entire life, and humanly speaking, we had no way to pay it back. With nowhere else to turn, I went to the only One who could help: our Heavenly Father. I humbled myself before God, shaved my head, and entered a 10-day season of prayer and fasting. Day after day, I cried out to the Lord to clear this debt. By the 7th and 8th days, I kept expecting a breakthrough, but nothing happened. On the 9th day, there was still absolute silence.
God’s
Unexpected Timing
On the 10th and final day of my fast, I received an unexpected phone call from a team of pastors from South India. They needed someone to guide them on a 13-day mission trip across Nepal.Seeing this as a direct call from God, I agreed to lead them. But as we traveled through various mission fields in Nepal, my heart remained heavy. I was constantly wondering, “Lord, how are You going to meet this financial need?”On the third day of our journey in Nepal, a sister on Facebook—who had earlier promised to help us with our personal house rent—sent me a message. She told me she had wired some money via Western Union and asked me to collect it. I immediately called my wife, Rachel, and asked her to collect the funds so we could at least pay our house rent of Rs. 3,500.
The Miracle
Unfolds
The next day, Rachel called me back and asked, "To whom else should I give the rest of the money?"Confused and stressed, I thought she was joking. "Just pay the rent," I told her. "We will find another way to clear the construction debt." She replied, "Do you know how much she sent? It is Rs. 52,000! It is enough to pay our house rent, completely clear the construction debt, and buy groceries for the next two months!" I stood there in disbelief. "Are you sure?" I asked twice. When she confirmed it with the bank receipt, tears overflowed from my eyes right in front of the pastors. I couldn't contain the joy and relief in my heart, and I finally shared with the team the hidden burden I had been carrying and how God had just answered my fasting prayer in full.
A Divine
Alignment
When I reached out to thank the sister, I asked her, "Why did you send such a large amount when I was only expecting Rs. 3,500 for rent?" Her answer left me Speechless:
"Brother, for the last 10 days, I was in deep distress and couldn't stop thinking about your ministry, but I had no money to send. Finally, I decided to sell my old scooter. As soon as I got the money, God heavily burdened my heart to send every bit of it to you. I just obeyed Him."
The exact 10 days I spent on my knees fasting and praying in secret were the exact 10 days God was working on the other side of the country, prompting this sister to act!She never sent financial support again—it was a one-time act of obedience. But that single miracle marked a turning point in our lives and ministry. It taught us that God’s resources are infinite, and His timing is perfect.
Dear friends, God’s power and ways are far higher than our human minds can comprehend. You
may be facing a mountain today—whether in your personal life, your family, or
your ministry—that seems impossible to move.
- Do not lose heart.
- Keep praying and trusting in silence.
- God is working behind the scenes even when you cannot see it.
As He promised in His Word, He is the God who
makes a way where there seems to be no way. Trust Him today, for He is faithful
to complete the work He began in you! God bless you.
Blessed Sagar
